Agents, agents, and agents.. oh my!

Hello all. It's been quiet.. but BUSY here at Victoria HQ lately. Victoria is back to school, but we are working for her off the clock, and behind the scenes. We have been in contact with many agents from L.A. and from Texas (i.e. Dallas and Houston), and it's been a marathon session to say the least. Sorting out the information and deciding on the agents is a tough job.. especially with so many in the mix.

We are planning a return trip to L.A. in early March as it stands now, and at that time.. Victoria and her minions will be meeting some of the favorites in the running and then hopefully find the magical team that will work with us. Once all that is said and done, Victoria will be heading to L.A. for the summer once school is over for the year. She will be working this summer.. so it will be a busy summer for our little star. So stay tuned.

Victoria's 2nd Runway Modeling Take...

After messing up the first walk down the runway, the A-V crew got it together.. and let Victoria walk a second time. They did show her pictures this time.

Runway modeling: iPOP

During the runway competitions, the A-V person is supposed to show the model's pictures up on the big screen over the stage. Well, this is Victoria's FIRST walk. You will notice not only did they not show here pictures, but they seemed confused at the end of the video who exactly was walking.. seems like someone didn't make the lineup time.

iPOP 2011 Open Monologue

Most of the iACT competitions at iPOP are behind closed doors. But they allowed us to get "behind the scenes" for a couple this year. This is the MONOLOGUE competition for the Independent team from Houston. Victoria is at the front of the line.

iPOP 2011 is now a memory...

Sadly, iPOP has now ended. But it was amazingly fun and exciting in so many ways. Victoria showed her talents, raw as they may be.. and came away one of the top awarded performers at iPOP in her first trip. She did extremely well, and also came back away with 16 call backs from agents on the final day. Now at Victoria HQ is time to regroup, and filter through what we have learned and begin Phase 2. We will narrow down the options for management and agent in the coming weeks and proceed with finding Victoria a teaching coach. There is also the goal to return to iPOP possibly in July. Victoria's brother was also inspired by Victoria's iPOP showing and now is regretting now going himself this time around. Her brother has helped her in many ways to prepare for iPOP and if the two manage to team up and go together to iPOP together.. who knows how much silverware they will need to carry back to Houston from iPOP.

One of the fun aspects for Team Victoria, was the friends we met on the trip. We met many new friends from Houston and from all over really. Talented youngsters and young adults were not only amazing on the stage, but amazing to talk too... helpful.. and over all just loved Victoria. It was fun seeing the older kids watching over Victoria like she was their little sister. They all loved her, they hugged her... and cheered for her.  And when she got lost during the "Parade" they helped to look for her. It was truly amazing having such wonderful people along side us.

Meanwhile, Victoria is still in California but is now enjoying some time at Disneyland. She will return home Monday to Houston.. but meanwhile it's time to unwind from a hectic week at iPOP!!

iPOP Awards Night.....

After having trouble logging in last night to chronicle yesterdays' goings on. Here is a quick summary:

* Victoria did her iACT comps yesterday mainly Scene, Commerical, and Monologue. She nailed them all.

* Victoria has her Showcase rehearsals

She nailed her iACT comps and did very well in them.

Today, it was her Runway Modeling comp in the morning, and in the afternoon she had her Swimsuit Modeling comp right after lunch. In between the two modeling comps.... she had the opportunity to join the OPEN Agent Networking room. We got to go from agent to agent and talk and meet them. It was fun... and we met some potential agents. Many of those we spoke with, have Victoria on her call back list for Friday. In other words, they WANT to talk to Victoria and maybe become HER AGENTS. We will find out how many are on that list tomorrow.

Starting at 3pm this afternoon, Victoria was off to the Acting Director for the Showcase Rehearsals. The Showcase would be part of the Awards Night Gala... so it was fun being backstage and watching the production take shape LITERALLY over a few short hours (and yes.. the whole PRODUCTION team NAILED the performance.. it was NEARLY flawless).

Come awards night, Victoria was stuck backstage in rehearsals while they started calling her name for various awards. We don't have a full list of the awards.. we hope to get that tomorrow for clarification.. but in the early part of the awards ceremony Victoria scored FIVE Honorable Mentions. Those are given for a TOP 10 PERFORMANCE in an actors category. With over 700 performers at iPOP this year, it would be safe to say Victoria's age group was probably close to 100 performers.

After the Showcase where Victoria played a fun part, they continued with more awards. She landed THREE trophies in the end part. Trophies for: Young Actor of the Year (2nd Runner up), Young Star of the Year (2nd Runner up), and for TV/Beauty Commercial (1st Runner Up). All told, Victoria went home one of the most decorated performers at iPOP at the age of 4.... and she took home EIGHT!

Victoria hits the RED CARPET!!!

A picture you better get used too. 

On Tuesday, Victoria had a FULL day ahead of her. Her first full day at iPOP, was sure to test her meddle as well as her readiness. She tackled both with flying colors. The picture above was actually taken at the end of the night after the "Parade of Schools" which closed out her schedule. Right after the parade was a concert and some guest appearances.. but Victoria really wanted to get some rest and some pizza by heading back to the room.

She started with the 8:30am Houston Group meeting to confirm our schedules and coordinate meeting times and places for the days events. At 9am, Victoria attended the iPOP "Pep Rally." Everyone from iPOP was there, and it was a good time for all. We all learned alot and heard from Ron Patterson President and CEO of JRP.

Now, apparently the Houston team consists of only 14 members.. all ranging in different disciplines from acting, modeling, sing, and dance. Victoria is the youngest member from the Houston team.. and the team is numbered by age (or age and last name). In either case, Victoria is the first one in line whenever the Houston team lines up for a competition since they line up numerically.

At 10:30am, Victoria had to line up with the Houston team for the first competition. This one was for Acting/Commercials. Victoria did one of her commercials.. Well, actually she did two... she did so good on the first one the judges/agents loved it so much they asked for another one. So she obliged with a 2nd commercial. This was a blessing for the rest of the Houston team.. and then EACH Houston member got a 2nd commercial too. I caught Victoria's director (the Houston "team leader") shortly after they entered the room, and she said Victoria had already done her commercials and she was great!! She was a smart girl, and the director wanted to be sure Victoria was entered in ALL the competitions at iPOP.. because she NEEDED to be.

Victoria then proceeded to the Modeling Showcase Audition. She auditioned behind closed doors, and this was "outside" the Houston group.. but at the end of the evening.. Victoria did not get a call back for the modeling showcase. But no worries, the day was still young!!

Following the Showcase Audition, Victoria head back to the hotel room for lunch and then a nap to get ready for her next audition. This one was the "Talent Showcase" audition at 4pm. This also was behind closed doors and outside the Houston group.. so no inside info there.. but at the end of the evening.. Victoria was on the call back list for this audition so she will be in the Showcase at the end of the week.

We were alerted by our director, that Victoria was selected for a special meet and greet with agents which was reserved for "elite" iPOPers. Apparently, she would get a unique chance to perform for more agents (another commercial or monologue), and then mingle with them and network until the Parade of Regions would start at 6pm. Well, this unique chance started at 5:30 but ran really long..and due to issues with setting up the Parade... the Parade didn't start until nearly 7pm.

During the meet and greet, we met with several agents who have ALREADY put Victoria on their call-back list for FRIDAY!! Some of them SPECIFICALLY REMEMBERED her and her performance out of the hundreds of auditions/performances they have seen. (At last I heard, there was approximately 700 iPOP competitors here.. from the USA, UK, Canada, and China).

Finally, after the "Parade of Regions" finished with Victoria leading the Houston team onto the runway, right behind the team from Honolulu. Things then got scary as Victoria disappeared at the end of the Parade. She was NOT with her team.. and her "buddies" who normally stay and watch her.. hadn't seen her. iPOP staff was alerted and the search began.. They even HALTED the Parade and stopped the music, and made the announcement over the PA system. But she was found following the 2 members from Honolulu.. LOL!! She was OK. Lesson learned!!

After much hugs and kisses.. and thanking everyone for their help.. we then proceeded to wind down and before returning to the hotel room.. we stopped for a shot at the red carpet. See the pic above!!

Tomorrow, Victoria has a Showcase rehearsal.. and THREE competitions. Should be a fun day. But with the feedback from today, and the results... things look very promising indeed.

iPOP is HERE.. iPOP is NOW!!!

After all the lead up and drama.. it is time!!! It's SHOWTIME like they say here in Hollywood!! We arrived to the hotel about 1:30pm and thought we'd get a head start and check in early.. HAHAHA.. there was like 300 people aleady in line. Thankfully the line went fast.... and we managed to get to our room, unpack, and relax for a bit before the orientation meeting at 6pm.They broke us into our groups and gave us the competition schedules for the week, got our badges, etc... then we head off to the "bootcamp" where we could polish up on skills we would use this week at iPOP!!

We got put into an "independent" group. Our group consists of contestants from: Tucson, AZ; Tyler, TX; Houston, TX; Albuequerque, NM; and Denver, CO. Apparently all of us have no "school affiliation" and are basically here on our talent and luck alone. All the other contestants from all over are part of some sort of acting or modeling school or other talent school.

During the bootcamp, Victoria did a scene (which was AMAZING and she had the place in tears she was so good..seriously!!) with a boy from Denver (he's 7), also did her commercials (and rocked the place!) but the group leader passed on her for the monologue since she had already been up several times.. and she wanted everyone to get a chance to go up (plus she said Victoria is COMPLETELY PREPARED and knew all her lines, and cues and was comfortable in front of the room full of other actors and parents, so no worries). Everyone complemented Victoria on her vocal projection, expression, her energy, and just plain cuteness. =)

After bootcamp ended at 9pm.. she went back to the room to bathe and rest, and for Mommy and Daddy to finish working her headshots. We all were hungry so we decided to order Pizza from Room Service... See the pics below from that and some others we snapped today.

Tomorrow, Victoria does 1 commercial script, and then her Runway Model audition for the iPOP Showcase end of the week. There's also time for practice with her "partner" from Denver, and in the evening is the "Parade of Regions." It is a "opening ceremony" type of thing with each region/market entering in a parade of sorts (all color coordinated). Picture the Opening Ceremony of the Olympics. So a light day. Thanks

Victoria Lands in LA!!!

Happy New Year everyone!!!!

After a fun trip from Houston (including a security breach/commotion at Bush Interncontinental Airport in Houston), Victoria is now safe and sound at the hotel in Anaheim to unwind before we head out to the iPOP Convention Hotel in Downtown LA on Monday. It was Victoria's first plane trip, and she did great. No issues at all.

Meanwhile, Victoria was getting ready for bed and wanted to shoot a few pics for the site... here they are.. She has SUCH a sense of humor.... Enjoy and Stay tuned...
